Soil Science

Soil Science Laboratory is attached to Soil Science Department under the Sustainable Forest Management Division. The laboratory is functional since 1978. Apart from the general routine soil nutrient analysis the laboratory also runs specific analytical procedures on demand. The facility is equipped with pH meter, conductivity meter, flame photometer, atomic absorption spectrophotometer, digestion, titration, wet sieving, soil moisture probe, penetrometer etc.

Soil science laboratory offers soil testing and manuring/amelioration recommendations to on-line departments.

This laboratory offers few opportunities for internships.
