Dr. Mahadevakumar, S., presently working as Junior Scientist / Scientist–B at Forest Pathology Department at KFRI, obtained Master’s Degree in BOTANY with First Rank and was awarded with SIX gold medals from University of Mysore. In the year 2011, He was awarded with DST Inspire Fellowship and obtained Ph.D. degree in Botany from the University of Mysore. He is the recipient of DST-INSPIRE Fellowship, CSIR Research Associate Fellowship, KSNUAHS Post-Doc & DST-SERB National Post-Doc Fellowship. He has extensive research experience in Mycology and Plant Pathology primarily focused on the emerging diseases of agro-ecosystems. Currently, he is involved in diagnosis and molecular detection of plant pathogens (fungal and phytoplasma) associated with forest ecosystems. He has published several new species and new records of plant pathogens to India.

Total number of publications: Published more than 55 research publications in reputed SCI journals and authored 13 Book Chapters.
