Dr. Shijo Joseph works on high computational algorithms for forest change assessments, field robotics for non-invasive measurements, and climate change mitigation in the Agriculture, Forestry & Other Land Use (AFOLU) sector. Dr. Joseph has more than 10 years of research experience in remote sensing, land use dynamics & climate change across Pantropics and published more than 40 research articles and reports in high impact journals. He was trained in the premier institutes includes Center for Earth Science Studies, Wildlife Institute of India, National Remote Sensing Center, ATREE, and the Center for International Forestry Research. He had traveled more than 25 countries and conducted scientific studies in most important tropical forest regions including Amazon, Congo Basin and Borneo forest. He is an expert member of the Technical Task Force on National Green House Gas Accounting of the Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Editorial Board Member of the PlosOne journal.
