Dr. G. E. Mallikarjuna Swamy, has specialization in Mycology and Forest Pathology. Currently he is involved in Biological management of Forest Nursery Diseases, Pre and Post Infection Changes in Phytochemical Constituents of Medicinal plants, Soil microflora and he is having live Microbial Culture Collection from different forest ecosystems of Kerala. He is a member of many National and International Societies for Fungal Conservation and Mycology and Plant Pathology.

Focused areas: Mycology Plant Pathology, Medicinal Plant Pathology, Microbial Diversity, Bioremediation of Pesticides, Conservation of microbes, Building up of Database of fungi, Ecosystem services.
