Dr. R.V. Varma

Dr. RV Varma, joined KFRI in 1976 as a Scientist in the Division of Entomology. Dr. Varma is a Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society (FRES), London and a life member of the Indian Society for Biocontrol Advancement. He is highly acclaimed for his work on termites in forest ecosystems. Dr. Varma superannuated from KFRI on 31 July 2007 as the Programme Coordinator, Forest Protection Division. After retirement, he joined the Kerala State Biodiversity Board, Thiruvananthapuram, as its Member Secretary. Dr. Varma has over 30 years research experience and has been working on various aspects of forest insects during his tenure at KFRI. H has over 90 publications in National and International Scientific journals.
