Dr. C.Renuka

Dr. C Renuka, Scientist-F, Forest Ecology & Biodiversity Conservation Division and Registrar, KFRI, has more than 32 years of research experience in the field of Plant morphology, taxonomy and Conservation. She was a member of International Working Group in Biodiversity, Genetic Resources and Conservation of Rattans and has successfully completed various research projects funded by International and National funding agencies like IDRC (Canada), IPGRI (Singapore), Ministry of Environment and Forests (Govt. of India), Kerala Forest Department, etc. Her research interests pertain to biodiversity and conservation, taxonomy, species trials and establishment of seed stands. She was guided six Ph.D. students and has over 95 scientific papers and 18 Research Reports to her credit. Dr. Renuka has travelled extensively in the forest areas in India and abroad and visited Malaysia, Indonesia, Nepal, Laos, Philippines and Italy, in connection with her research carrier.
