Abstract

The specific objectives of the Information Centre are the following, to (1) . Develop and manage an integrated database comprising Indian bamboo literature, scientists and current research programmes. (2) . Provide search services from the database backed up with document delivery service. (3) . Publish a half yearly bulletin containing abstracts of articles and research news. (4) . Prepare a compendium on commercially important bamboo species found in India. (5) . Popularise research results by producing extension bulletins and slide setsand (6) . Publish a directory of bamboo scientists and current research programmes
