Abstract

Prospects of biological control of rust and leaf spot diseases is reviewed. The four possible ways by which microorganisms can reduce or control the development of a disease viz., Hyperparasitism, antagonism, immunization or cross protection, and hypovirulence are dealt with in detail examples of various rust and leaf spot diseases
