Abstract
Foliar infection of 1- to 2-yr-old seedlings of P. pinnata was recorded in an experimental plot at Vazhachal (Chalakudy Forest Division) and Medicinal Plant Garden of Kerala Forest Research Institute during Sep. -Oct. 1983. Symptoms and etiology of the diseases are described: a leaf blight was caused by A. pongamiae, and a leaf spot by U. pongamiae. Both diseases are first reports for Kerala State
