Abstract

The overall vegetation changes with respect to vegetation density was evaluated from LANDSAT imageries of 1973. 1975 and 1983, for the period of 10 years. The spatial and temporal changes in habitat was studied. The degradation of vegetation and subsequent continuity brekage is one of the key factors controlling the endemism in the area. The extent of habitat degradation and vegetation continuity was assessed by the present study
