Abstract

Soil properties in 0-100 cm layer of three different elevations, 150 (E1), 750 (E2) and 1450 (E3) in all were subjected to cluster analysis. Of the 14 properties studied viz., sand, clay, pH, water holding capacity (WHC), bulk density (BD), Ferrus oxide, Aluminium oxide, Pottasium oxide, Calcium oxide, Magnesium oxide, Organic carbon (OC), total N, P and S. Cluster analysis identified three distinct cluster in E1, E2 and E3. The grouping pattern was same in E1 and E2, but it differed slightly in E3. The study reveals that the grouping pattern of soil properties in independent of the elevation
