Abstract

This is the first report of R. solani causing collar rot disease in seedlings of Bombax ceiba and Ailanthus triphysa and S. rolfsii causing leaf blight in B. ceiba and B. insigne at the Forest Res. Inst. Pathogenicity of the isolates was confirmed byinoculation and reisolation. The diseases generally occurred in patches and caused high seedling mortality. Surveys revealed that disease outbreak and spread were mainly due to poor nursery management practices
